Kamaeoka Sacred Union Retreat| Kouchowa

Returning to Inner Harmony in Ancient Land

“Infinite Peace in a Sacred Sanctuary”

A deeply personal retreat experience held in the quiet landscapes of Kameoka and neighboring Nose—an area where ancient shrines, mist-covered mountains, and living traditions continue to shape a subtle field of presence.

This is not a tour, but an invitation into a more refined state of being.

Guided by over a decade of therapeutic practice, each experience is carefully attuned to your inner rhythm—supporting emotional clarity, energetic balance, and a return to natural harmony.

Dates are arranged individually following your inquiry to ensure a fully tailored experience.

Izumo Daijingu (Kameoka)

With over 1,300 years of history, this shrine is dedicated to harmonious relationships and inner reflection.
We receive a special private prayer from the head priest.
Deep within the shrine grounds, a sacred mirror reflects the state of one’s heart,
offering a moment of gentle self-awareness.

In Shinto tradition,
the shrine is a place to connect with your own inner essence,
rather than worshiping externally.

The 1,300-Year-Old Sacred Tree

Great Zelkova tree, standing for over 1,300 years.
This ancient site invites stillness, grounding, and a deep sense of connection with the natural world.

The Setting

The home is spacious and comfortable, combining traditional Japanese materials with modern amenities, and reserved exclusively for your group.

We stay in a newly renovated private traditional house near the sacred tree.

・Spacious tatami and bed areas
・Natural materials and clean interiors
・Exclusive, private use for our group
・Here, participants enjoy quiet reflection, meditation, and gentle practices in a relaxed, safe environment.

Scheduling Your Retreat

Retreat dates are flexible and arranged individually, allowing each experience to unfold according to your availability and the rhythm of the land.

While any date can be requested, we recommend certain seasonal periods to fully enjoy the beauty and serenity of the surroundings

🌸Spring… Cherry blossoms and fresh greenery
🍂Autumn… Vibrant fall foliage and crisp air

For these suggested periods, we may offer limited spots to maintain an intimate and tranquil atmosphere.

As we carefully select and secure the most serene private accommodations for each request, we recommend reaching out as early as possible—especially during the cherry blossom season—to ensure the space is available for your journey.

Each retreat is tailored for your group, ensuring that the schedule, activities, and pacing align with your needs while preserving the quiet, immersive experience.

Connecting Before Your Journey
